The scientific electronic library eLIBRARY.RU is the largest Russian information-analytical portal in the field of a science, technologies, medicine and the formations, containing abstracts and full texts more than 19 million scientific articles and publications, including electronic versions more than 3900 Russian scientific and technical magazines, from which more than 2800 magazines in open access.

The eLIBRARY.RU platform was created in 1999 at the initiative of the Russian fund of basic researches for ensuring with the Russian scientist electronic access to the leading foreign scientific publications. Since 2005 eLIBRARY.RU began work with Russian-language publications and nowadays is the leading electronic library of the scientific periodical press in Russian in the world.

For today full text versions about 4000 foreign and 3900 domestic scientific magazines, papers of publications of nearly 20 thousand magazines, and also descriptions of one and a half million foreign and Russian theses are available to followers of eLIBRARY.RU. magazines in open access. eLIBRARY.RU – the electronic library of scientific publications possessing rich possibilities of search and and reception of the information largest in Russia.

Total number of the registered institutional users (organizations) – more than 2200. In system 1,1 million individual users from 125 countries of the world are registered. Annually readers receive more than 7 million full text articles from library and look through more than 22 million summaries.
